i have a prescription for acuvue oasis contacts, do i need a new one for acuvue 2 color contacts?
I want to just try out the color contacts… like a free trial, but i don’t think that i need the full blown examination when i already wear contacts and have a prescription. Do I really need an examination to just get a free trial pair of the color contacts?
Ask your optometrist if they will change the prescription to include the colored lenses. If the lenses have similar base curves and diameters, they may. Most docs will have you come in for a refit though.
The prescription for correction, base curve and diameter will be the same, and the optician that you got your current lenses from already has your optical history on file, so you don’t need the full blown examination. All you really need to do is ask the optician if they can recommend the best coloured brand for your eyes, he can adjust the prescription so that you can choose from either brand, or write a separate one so that you can get the replacement lenses in the brand that you want.
