@11thetruthisoutthere Also note the fact this isn’t the only ongoing technological advance towards public-usage virtual HUD. There’s research being done on cybernetic implants, fully prosthetic and computerized eyes, and so on. Take a look at the series Ghost in the Shell. We’ll be there in 10 years.

  6. I’m Brad Closer, LOVE ME!!!!!! jkz. Its great to know that technology is developing in a way that its beneficial to the species just want to know how many decades(if any) I have to wait for this. Thanks for the information

  7. this is it people. this is our future.
if these are made easy enugh for every one to buy there will be no need for drugs lol hilusnogens anyway. augmented reality applied to contact lenses would beat any video glasses in comparison. you could dress your self up in 3d clothing or other people to see, lie would become fun!!! actually fun. walking to work could be funny and interesting.

maybe youd need to have a high fever to power those lens. and youd need a converter too that adds the bulk to the device

  14. I am Locutus of Borg. You will service… us!

  15. sagitauris says:

body heat can power the lens. why havent they thought of that…

night/infrared/thermal vision, binoculars, projector out of your eye, and photographic memory. the power source could come from solar on the contact or from ATP energy from mitochondria i saw. the processor could be powerd seperately because its wireless. think of the apps like vertual reality and you could pritty much controle any electrical device. in this information age i think we are on the brink of something evolutionary.

These’ll be out within the next couple years, for military contracts at least. This is a lot simpler than prosthetic/bionic eye implants themselves, and those are planned to be brought out by 2020.
