I am unsufe if my contacts are daily wear or extended wear?

I started wearing disposable contact lens…for some reason i thought they were extended wear, but i am unsure and am dumb for not consulting my eye doctor…anyway I slept in them, sometimes even 3-4 days in a row before taking them out…They did not seem uncomfortable though when I did this which led me to believe they were extended wear, and it was a HUGE difference from my other ones that i had which weren’t disposable, in which even if i slept ONE night in them, i would wake up very uncomfortable and blurry…but these disposables feel perfectly comfortable for days without taking them out…I am aware that wearing certain contacts overnigt can cause problems like corneal ulcers….so i just wanted to see if anyone knows if theres a difference in comfort feeling after overnight wear between daily lenses and extended wear lenses….Thanks!

It might be unsafe. I’d check with ur eye doctor immediately just in case.

did you save the box they came from? or you could just call your optometrist’s office and have the look over the prescription they gave you. or call the company you ordered them from (like 1800contacts??). its important to know what kind they are because you can get corneal ulcers by wearing contacts for more than 24 hours, which are pretty dangerous. it doesn’t matter if they feel more comfortable than your previous contacts…the last thing you want is a nasty infection or worse, a corneal ulcer.

Check with your retailer (where you bought it from) or manufacturer (the guys who make them).

in general – don’t sleep with your contacts in – you will be more prone to corneal abrasion and subsequent infection in the eye.

Infection in the eye is a very bad thing
