Toric Contact Lens Prescription Question?
Hello, I have a question about contact lenses. I’m currently getting contacts next week and I have a few questions about pricing. I still like to wear glasses like 3 days out of the week but I need contacts for physical activities. What type should I get? I’m getting Daily disposables, but could vial contacts, or monthly contacts be a better option? Remember I’m looking for the cheapest solution because I’m a poor college student. Also, are all contact lens prescription the same for any type of contacts?
1). Dailies are pretty inexpensive acuview one a days will run you about $30 per box. I have been told by my eye doctor that if you are only using them on an as needed basis for things like sports then that is the better option because they will last a lot longer. If you have a walmart with an optical department near by then go there they tend to carry the acuview right in the store so you could possibly leave with them the same day.
2). Any time you want to switch your brand of contacts you should always have a contact fitting with your eye doctor. You want to know that what you are getting will fit you properly and comfortably before you purchase them. You never know if the same size in a different brand is going to fit you the same way.
